Christmas Fabric Bunting
Bunting is the ultimate British decoration and a symbol of celebration. Make your own festive bunting and bring a real celebratory atmosphere into your home, not to mention a sense of Christmas cheer! Because bunting traditionally uses small, individual triangles of fabric, it’s perfect for putting leftover Christmas fabrics to good use (they don’t all have to match). Simply cut out triangles on your fabric using a paper triangle template and join all the triangles together by sewing them onto bias binding. Top tip: always use pinking shears for cutting the fabric so you don’t have to sew a hem.
Christmas Cushion Covers
Give your soft furnishings a festive makeover with Christmas cushion covers. Since cushion covers are removable and can be temporary, you can go all out with bold Christmas themes, like our Christmas Tapestry Fabric which will really warm the room. Cushion covers are simple enough for sewing novices to make, and for those a little more practised they can be whipped up in a matter of minutes! Fabric Gift Tags
In the interest of sustainability, why not opt for reusable Christmas fabric gift tags this year? Homemade, fabric gift tags add an extra, personal touch to presents. The humble gift tag, usually never given a second’s thought, can now be part of the present itself. The great thing about fabric gift tags is that you don’t need to be an expert sewer, in fact, you don’t need to be a sewer at all! Fabric can be glued at the edges and embellishments can be ironed on. A pocket-style gift tag allows a slip of paper to be placed inside for the giftee.

Christmas Fabric Wreaths
A wreath made from old scraps of Christmas fabric is the ultimate exercise in resourcefulness. Since wreaths are traditionally constructed from foliage, a fabric wreath ensures a beautifully unique decoration for your home. They are also extremely easy to make and don't require any sewing skills: you are simply cutting pieces of fabric and tying them to a wire wreath base. Table Runners
A Christmas fabric table runner makes for an excellent centerpiece for a celebratory dinner table. A table runner is a length of cloth, narrower than the table, that runs down its centre. They are good alternatives to tablecloths if you want to display the wood of the table but runners can also be placed over a table cloth as a stand-out and stand-alone decoration. For serious fans of the festive season, Christmas curtains have the power to transform your home into a Christmas wonderland. Christmas Tree Decorations
Complement your tinsel, lights and baubles with homemade, fabric Christmas tree decorations. Owing to their small size, tree decorations are perfect for using up scraps of old Christmas fabrics. Simple shapes, like circles and hearts adorning the tree are just as beautiful as more complicated 3D creations. Who said crackers had to be paper? You can make perfectly good (arguably, better) Christmas crackers using Christmas fabric and velcro. (To be completely tree-friendly, use reinforced cotton webbing - instead of card - for the inside.) Christmas Tree Skirt
A tree skirt is a necessary addition if you want your tree to look well-presented. Its main purpose is to hide an unsightly tree stand, however, tree skirts also make dazzling backdrops to presents; catch falling pine needles; and are themselves, colourful, seasonal decorations.
