What You Will Need
- Fabric – approx. 60 x 137cm
- Scissors
- Pins
- 20” Cushion Inner
- Tape Measure

Step One
Firstly, measure and cut out one 20” x 20” square of fabric for the front and two 20” x 14” pieces to form your back.

Step Two
Now, hem the two back pieces by folding one edge over half an inch and pin. On one piece, hem the bottom edge and on the other piece hem the top edge (make sure the pattern is always facing the right way up). Now sew this edge on the sewing machine.

Step Three
Next, lay the main fabric piece face up and place the two back pieces face down on top of this front piece. Make sure the first piece you lay down has the hemmed edge on the bottom and the second piece has the hemmed edge on the top. This will form the envelope backing.

Step Four
Align the edges and pin all the pieces together, sew along these edges on the sewing machine.

Step Five
Cut the corners at an angle, making sure not to cut into the stitching. This helps to create the points when you turn the cushion cover the right side around.

Step Six
Now turn your cushion cover the right side around, making sure to push out the corners well.

Step Seven
Insert your cushion inner and you now have a lovely Christmas cushion cover for your home!
