"Curtains Create A Cosier Feeling"
Curtains create a softer and cosier feeling than blinds. I had toyed with choosing a very plain fabric that wouldn’t be too impactful on the small bedroom. I then came across the prettiest Botanist Fabric/Peacock from Just Fabrics. I fell in love with it straight away so decided to make a feature of our new window dressings. A large pattern drop, and flamboyant design meant these were going to certainly be centre stage. I don’t do fussy so opted for a simple pencil pleat heading.
We have another window in our bedroom and two sets of full-length curtains would be too much so opted for a simple Roman blind for this window.
The curtains have been lined to give extra fullness and also helps stop light coming in and lessens sun damage to the fabric.

"Use Fabric As Your Starting Point For Inspiration"
If you feel you need direction when decorating or redesigning a room, using fabric can be a great starting point for inspiration for the design and theme of your room. The colours in this fabric are so vivid so I decided to create a calm and light space. I kept the rest of the bedroom white apart from one wall which I painted in Setting Plaster, a Farrow and Ball colour, a soft peachy pink that pulls out some of the softer hues in the fabric.

Pandora’s Top Tips
-
Don’t be afraid to use different textures. I have used linen bedlinen in soft cream and moss colour, a contrast to the sharp bright colours in the curtain fabric.
-
Plants are key. Soften edges and corners with lovely foliage.
-
Use art in your scheme. Make your space interesting. Here I have used a collection of little watercolours. Don’t be afraid to mix it up. Matchy matchy can be boring.
