Each piece of our Cotswold Eco Range is fully bespoke made to order, resulting in a beautiful, high quality design with precision and attention to detail. The timeless range is eco-conscious as it is sumptuous and comfortable and is made using traditional upholstery and furniture making methods. Expert craftsmanship makes into superior designs and the focus on natural fabrics enables healthier processes for the planet.
Sustainable Furniture Materials
In every piece of the handcrafted range, 100% recyclable or compostable materials are used, with most elements being natural, biodegradable, and free from plastics.
The core materials used are:
- Wooden frames (these are FSC certified, which is wood harvested from forests that are responsibly managed)
- Coil sprung mesh top units
- Natural hessian
- Rubberised hair - 40% Natural Latex, 30% Animal Hair, 30% Coco Fibres
- Cotton and wool felt wadding
- 100% wool cushion inners
To then create your bespoke furniture piece, choose from 100% Linen, 100% Cotton or 100% Cotton Velvet for the finish.
Creation Process
All the designs for our eco friendly furniture start with a traditional, hand crafted wooden frame. Next, the coil sprung mesh top units are added which are covered with a natural hessian barrier. This provides a smooth base for the padding.
Next comes the comfort, layers of padding, rubberised hair, cotton, and wool felting are all applied for a sumptuously comfortable seat, topped with fine wool guard wadding. Special touches finish the piece as we can add fully covered luxurious wool cushions in the fabric of your choice.
