What are the Benefits of Interlined Curtains and Blinds?

Interlined curtains and blinds are not only for interior decoration, but they also provide essential privacy, warmth and can even help reduce noise pollution. The main benefit of interlining is the fact that it traps the air between the layers of fabric and therefore minimizes heat loss. This would be a useful option for a room that has a draft.

Whilst interlined curtains are a great option for keeping heat in,  they also help give curtains structure and add volume, resulting in an elegant drape and fuller finish. Curtains and blinds made in silk and damasks really benefit from being interlined, not only for support but also to protect the fabrics from the sunlight and will give a luxurious finish.

Keep in mind that interlined curtains and blinds will be considerably heavier and so a strong enough pole or track will need to be fitted.

The lining is an energy efficient option as this lining prevents the air from entering or leaving the room and therefore reduces the amount of heat needed to heat the room.
